Texas trip

The 25th of October Tonny & I went to Hoston, Texas, US to deliver my Skye female Skyewalker's Mia Preferita to her new owners Susan Parson & Sharon Middleton. We decided to do it the weekend where there were a double show in Austin, a three hours drive from Houston, also bringing Monty for show… and what a trip!! We are deeply grateful for the amazing, fun, crazy, tough days in Texas where, everything is just bigger and better….

I will post a better story and pictures of this trip later but we went to US and WON!!!

Day 1

Skyewalker's Mia Preferita was second in her class and Skyewalker's Jumpin' Jack Flash won his class and later best of Winners with 3 point major!!! This I Skye history in Denmark!!

Day 2

Mia won her class and went Winners bitch with 1 point and Monty just did it again with Best Of Winners with 4 point major!!! Now he has both his majors to become US champion, so we return next year to finish him. We are so grateful having experienced this trip and wins…

This is the second year in a row that Mike showed his International class by winning res male on one of the largest shows in Europe.. he also did that in 2011!

Back home we had 2 shows on DTK but I didn´t go Saturday as we had a huuge lightening stroke in our house while I was in Romania. Therefore we had a lot of workers in the house and just too much work and Tonny was on his way home from China.

August

Due a very busy month in july with lot of work and also renovating our house we didn´t go to much shows. Instead we had lot of fun with our Staff puppies who went to new homes first in august and of course all our other dogs.

But then the show circuit began again and what a month so far!!

We received wonderful news from France that Skyewalker´s Layla had become New French Champion. Huge congrats to owner Nolwenn Le Mestre in France!!

This year we decided to participate with some dogs instead of just visiting the Worlds largest Dog Show in Birmingham and what a trip!! Not only our newest member of our Show Circuit Chalotte Buchwald Hansen and I had a long drive, but 3 times we were denied to enter the ferry from Calais to Dover, because the ferry company at first did a mistake with our papers for the dogs.. . So we were more than  4 hours delayed when we finally arrived at a gorgeous hotel near Birmingham.

Our wonderful ES Set’r Ridge’s delivering The Dream, aka Houston was doing a great job on Friday, but as expected he was tooooo American for the English people. Chalotte did a fantastic job handling him and I was so pleased to look at this team. We are going to see more of them this year.

Houston at Crufts

On Sunday we showed our red hot love, Staffie Oscellsie devils Sun, aka Mike and the two Skyes: Skyewalker’s Jumpin Jack Flash aka Monty & Skyewalker’s Keep On Rockin’ aka Svedske at this famous dogshow.  Mike was shown expertly by Chalotte, while I was showing the Skyes in another ring. Even though Mike and Chalotte did a great job, they didn’t get placed in the competition.

In the Skye terrier ring Monty (Multi Ch Skyewalker's Jumpin' Jack Flash) showed perfectly and was third in a strong open class and this qualified him for CRUFTS 2013. Svedske (Multi Ch Skyewalker's Keep On Rockin') competed in open class females. A very strong class. I was really enjoying all the beautiful Skyes at CRUFTS as well as all the visitors from all over the world. It is always so nice to meet other fanciers of our breeds and also I was so fortunate to meet Mikes breeders.  Back to Svedske… To my big surprise and also honour, she won the open class and just few minutes later it was a fact that she won the CC at CRUFTS 2012 as the first Danish bred Skye!!! I was overwhelmed by happiness and joy and I must admit I actually cried. THANK YOU to the judge Mr A M Hamilton for giving me one of my proudest wins. Also a huge THANK YOU to other exhibitors, breeders and audience who gave me so many greetings. I will never ever forget.

This weekend  just gave us so much success, having 3 new Danish Champions as our co owned Mini Bull Bikato-Parti Miguel also took two BOS and became New Danish Champion.

The two other new champions were the Skye brother & sister, Simon & Sally that became Champion the very same weekend. Simon also won the group as the third Skye in DK to do that. Before him, Multich Skyewalker's Cool Corona, Multich Skyewalker's I have A Dream were the only one to have achieved that.

Our ES Houston was once again placed in group. We are very very proud of our dogs!
